The figurine shown on this page is the starting point of the Blank Slate stage of Comforting Apocalypse. By creating replicas of the deformed body, in contrast with the concept of a ‘blank slate’, I invite the audience to participate in creating scenarios, writing comments, and contextualizing this work in the light of post-apocalyptic hopes. In the case of a physical exhibition: the audience will be welcomed with blank papers accompanied by each figurine. The different statuettes can be situated in different combinations, positions, and sequences, through which the viewers can write short stories on their visions of these figurines’ lives post-apocalypse, in the light of the question ‘What will you do if the pressure is ever released?’
